Monitoring And Evaluation Assistant

The M&E officer will be responsible to  assist the M&E Unit in the development and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation strategies in developing and following up on work plans and indicators for monitoring & evaluation system, and under the supervision of  the regional M&E officer. He/she will do that by collecting quantitative and qualitative data about PACES program and general pre-project data, assisting in tools development and data analyses, and writing ME reports and presenting the findings.    Specific Responsibilities: Conduct monitoring field visits, and make necessary observations. Conduct data collection as required and perform data entry, as instructed.  Conduct M & E activities (such as, FGD, IK interviews…etc.), during the program cycle and in reference to the program’s action plan. Assist in providing M&E training to staff as necessary. Assist in analysis of indicator results, and in providing feedback and recommendations to project management indicating where project activities and interventions are falling short, meeting or exceeding the expected outputs, outcomes and impact. Assisting in preparing the monthly M & E work plan and following up on its implementation.  Provide monthly M & E report about the program’s progress as instructed by the Regional M & E officer. Assist in the preparation of quarterly Monitoring & Evaluation reports. Contribute to the overall development of the M & E department at PACES.   Documentation of all related M & E data.  Qualifications: BA degree is required, preferably in social sciences. At least 2 years’ experience in research, including data collection, data entry, and management. Strong computer skills required. Very good working knowledge of Excel, and have good knowledge of using database and data analysis software. Knowledge of sports- in development issues, challenges and opportunities is an asset. Analytical and research skills Very good oral and writing skills in English and Arabic. Self-motivated and is able to work within a multicultural team. Ability to travel periodically to Jordan; A valid driving license.
