Social Worker

Roles and responsibilities • Ensure that Project activities are being performed on schedule and in accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Project Manager, and the Awareness Coordinator. • Conduct field assessments related to Protection, Shelter upgrade in ITS and SSU, site improvement and drainage, maintenance and repair of WASH facilities, pit latrines desludging operations and waste collection service. • Field data collection, data entry and report to the Deputy Project Manager. • Planning and assist the delivery of Shelter kits, WASH facilities maintenance supplies and other items in coordination with the Deputy Project Manager. • Monitor the progress of the works and report to Deputy Project Manager. • Support the implementation of the Hygiene Promotion activities, if required. • Ensure that all the documentation related to the field activities are regularly collected and available. • Liaise with the landlords, community leaders and beneficiary communities and report to the Deputy Project Manager about any problems faced on the field. • Participate in coordination meeting held in the GVC Office in Jdeideh. • During the activity implementation phase the social worker will be available to support any other project component (monitoring, distribution, visibility actions, opening\closing ceremonies, etc…) according to the project needs and the Deputy Project Manager instructions. Accountability The Social Worker is accountable to the Deputy Project Manager and ultimately to the WASH Expert and the Project Manager.
