Under the overall supervision of the Surge Team Coordinator, the incumbent will perform the following functions:
In coordination with the Canadian official/authorities fill up registration form with primary information of families (i.e. DOB, Gender, address, contact) in an accurate manner, with close attention to details, recording information accurately and in a neat and legible handwriting.
Support the Canadian officials in guiding the refugees to the biometrics, or to the Immigration officer performing interview.
Fill up forms that are required to facilitate the resettlement of the applicants.
Support IOM existing staff to give them the information required to keep the master list updated.
Counsel refugee/migrant applicant when necessary.
Support the Canadian officials in some basic English/Arabic translation/interpretation when required.
Support in clerical work during the interview process.
