UNHCR is seeking to establish and strengthen relations with different public and private sector partners in the MENA Region to cover funding gaps through digital and traditional multi-channel outreach. UNHCR will establish digital connections to bring about a broad base of supporters and leadership partners closer to refugees / PoCs and UNHCR’s work / mandate.
The Private Sector Fundraising Unit (PSFR) is looking to hire a Digital Media Planner Officer with an exceptional knowledge of the Digital space, online audiences and a clear and insightful analytical eye. He/she will provide leadership across the different teams to develop and deliver effective digital media plans, communicate content to the right audience, uncover insights, analyze metrics and report return on investments
Accountability (key results that will be achieved)
Develop a digital media buying campaign calendar.
Develop campaign plans, implementation time-lines and action plans for digital campaigns.
Provide 360 monthly reports on digital media buying and the effective return on investments.
Create and maintain a sustainable and effective stream of communication with different campaign teams.
Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)
Defines scope and recommends approach of digital strategy for multiple digital campaigns. This will involve working with different teams to build online campaign elements, brief the digital media agency about campaigns and provide feedback on online media plans, working with all required suppliers to get advertising tracking in place, ensuring campaigns are executed and managed to target.
Develops a total understanding of online target audiences and mindset modes for digital audiences across the MENA region.
Recommends, place and analyze paid search, digital display, social media and other digital marketing channels for all of our fundraising/engagement campaigns to improve the monetary value of such campaigns.
Ensures that all digital analytics are set up correctly to track online performance. Work with other team members and external suppliers to ensure that all required analytics code is correctly in place across the website, emails, social media, display advertising, and search engine marketing. Add and test new tracking codes as required through the website CMS.
Develops digital briefs for all digital work for the different internal/external stakeholders.
Maintains media plans including changes, budgeting, execution, reporting, optimization and invoice reconciliation.
Handles all digital media billing using monthly tracking reports and invoice reconciliation with finance team.
Reports on all digital activities and make recommendations for performance improvement. This will involve creating and filling out reporting templates for website performance, online marketing performance and online communications performance. It will require collecting data, reporting on all applicable online performance metrics (such as conversion rates, click-through rates, CPA etc.), analyzing performance and providing strategic recommendations to boost digital ROI.
Follows regional and global news relating to refugees and takes initiative on the development of Rapid response campaign ideas and or opportunities as relevant and upon short notice.

Works with cross-functional project teams to create and implement short and long-term online marketing strategies.

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Marketing and/or Advertising. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines with a proven relevant professional record will be accepted;
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in the development and implementation of online communication strategies for acquisition purposes.
- Proven track record of online media planning, implementation and optimizations.
- Proven experience on the development and overseeing of budgets.
-Strong knowledge of web analytics platform as well as digital planning tools.
-Vast knowledge of digital measurement metrics, and experience with producing online performance reports for senior stakeholders.
