Doctor For Humedica Mmu (100% Full-Time) - Starting 1St January 2016 - Application As Soon As Possible!

humedica is working with two MMUs (mobile medical units) in 35 informal tented settlements in Central Bekaa, providing primary health care to Syrian refugees.   TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES: Your main responsibilities will be: Medical consultation for common acute illnesses and dispensing acute medications. Provide diagnosis and counselling to each patient and determining follow up care needed. Treatment of uncomplicated infectious diseases (watery diarrhea, dysentery and STI etc.). Identify potentials of communicable disease outbreaks. Initial medical consultation and treatment for chronic diseases, referral to partner organization Medical Teams International (MTI). Health promotion on health services available in the PHC centers and hospitals. Stabilization services of emergency health conditions and immediate referrals to nearest PHC centers or hospitals after stabilization. Participate actively in the monitoring and the reporting of medical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports). Awareness and knowledge of referral options and pathways. CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT: Starting: 01 January 2016 Terminating: 31 December 2016 Contract: Five days a week from Monday up to and including Friday Working hours: 8.30 – 17.00 with half hour lunch break Post based in the humedica MMU in Zahlé and Central Bekaa. With your team (doctor, pharmacist, field officer), you will visit one to two different tented settlements each day. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Medical Doctor. Experience working with NGOs is helpful, but not mandatory. High motivation for challenging and complex tasks and good common sense. Strong skills in communication, mediation and cooperation. Ability to cope with difficult security context. Ability to work as part of a team and participate in all activities of the MMU. Ability and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment.
