DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dkAbout the job Supporting the municipality in its work with displacement affected communities in addition to municipality administrative support. Duties • Share information on available services with Syrian refugees and displacement affected community, including newcomers, and refer them to UNHCR for registration and targeted assistance. • Gather data on Syrian refugees and displacement affected communities (municipal registration, location, household size, contact details etc.), if requested by the municipality. • Support the municipality with carrying out assessments to identify local needs. • Work as an entry point to the municipality and a focal point for coordinating with all agencies that are providing services to displaced affected population. • Coordinate with, and support the work of, municipality staff tasked with assisting vulnerable Lebanese. • Participate in monthly meetings with DRC. • Participate in trainings organized by DRC when required (giving 1-2 days notice to the Head of Municipality).   About youTo be successful in this role you must have, to be a resident in Tripoli, and you have Bachelor degree in social field, Minimum 3 year experience in humanitarian or similar field, strong ability to speak read and write English and French language proficiently. Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office), strong knowledge in social media exchange and social networking. Ideally you will also have Master Degree in social or similar field, experience working with governance and municipalities We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 2 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 23-11-2015 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
