COOPI Lebanon is recruiting a Social Worker based inTRIPOLI to be involved in the implementation of Education projects for Syrian Refugees and Affected Populations in North Lebanon.
Main areas of responsibility (in coordination with COOPI Project Manager):
Main Tasks
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Social Worker will:
Participate to the information campaign about the program, and to the general assessment before starting the rehabilitation work;
Support in the identification of the most vulnerable children in school (and out of school) in the area of the project intervention
Conducting vulnerability assessment and school NFI distribution
Leasing with school directors and teachers.
Be in charge of organizing the meetings (planning, group…), and mobilizing the community regarding our shelter services
Assist the Project Manager in procurement and logistics and all data gathering requirement
Assist the Project Manager during the work meetings;
Report every day the problems to the Project Manager and provide weekly reports.
Assist in any additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager and/or the Head of Mission in line with the job profile.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (desirable), or teaching
Previous working experience in an international NGO (desirable)
Experience in emergency education program
Proven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to work in an international environment
Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organisation itself;
Well organized;
Hard worker;
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, Good English
Computer knowledge (word, excel, …)
Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in the event
of major emergencies
Valid Driving License and ability to drive both automatic/manual cars
Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage
Good Knowledge of Northern Lebanon
