Senior Program Assistant - Emergency

Under the overall supervision of the Head of office and direct supervision of the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator, the incumbent is to participate in the design and support effective implementation and monitoring of Emergency Response and Stabilization activities. In particular, he/she will perform the following duties: Prepare  work plans, periodic progress reports, background documents and field reports  Support the establishment and maintain filing systems and data for emergency projects. Support and provide inputs to the Monitoring and Evaluation of Emergency Program activities. Support remotely and through field visits IOM field offices across the country with the implementation of their daily activities  Assist in coordinating the ongoing assessment, registration, implementation and monitoring of displaced communities/Lebanese Returnees and participate in designing response programmes to identified needs.  Provide assistance to program staff as needed in conducting field assessment visits Contribute to the preparation of donor and implementing partners briefing packages. In coordination with the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator assist in  the identification of and propose solutions to address issues in programme implementation Facilitate field assessments and surveys in close coordination with other UN agencies, local and international NGOs and donors.  As required,  draft periodic program reports and summaries required for internal and external dissemination. (Situation reports, etc.…)  Contribute towards assembling and disseminating visibility materials in both Arabic and English to the relevant audiences.  Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
