Background ACTED is an International humanitarian NGO, founded in 1993, which supports vulnerable populations, affected by humanitarian crises worldwide. ACTED provides continued support to vulnerable communities by ensuring the sustainability of post-crisis interventions and engaging long-term challenges facing our target populations, in order to break the poverty cycle, foster development and reduce vulnerability to disasters. Our teams in the field implement some 380 projects in 34 countries covering the following sectors emergency relief, food security, access to health, education and training, economic development, microfinance, advocacy, institutional support, and regional dialogue, cultural promotion.                                   **Please note: This is a local position. Only Lebanese citizens are eligible to apply.** Assignment The Driver will work within the Logistics department of Operational Support structure, committed to provide reliable and compliant support to program activities in order to achieve efficient service to program beneficiaries. The driver will provide safe, transport services for program and support staff and adhere to all traffic and ACTED safety rules by following the transport guidelines required by the ACTED transport department. General Responsibilities Make sure to carry mobile to be contacted while on Duty and off Duty for urgent matters; Frequent Check of Logbook of car and mileage; Make sure Logbooks are filled in correctly and signed for each trip; Transport authorized passengers on their official duties, this includes collecting materials or dropping materials from project and suppliers. Respect Traffic laws and regulations; Ensure non ACTED staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle; Ensure availability to Pick up and drop off ACTED staff/Guests at airports; Perform Daily Inspection according to ACTED Standards; Follow Standard Operating procedures in case of accidents; Assist the Supply Chain and Administration departments in procurement, inventory & asset management and maintenance of all ACTED premises as and when needed and in adherence to the relevant policies; Daily checking on technical conditions of assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicles; Inform line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods; Ability and willingness to undertake frequent trips to and from the Field offices, including overnight stays if required; Assist in collecting quotations requested by Line Manager or Logistics Manager; Participate in any necessary assistance requested by Line Manager or Logistics Manager.  REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driving license for at least one year; Above 21 years of age; Good knowledge of country roads; Minimum Experience 1 year in a similar position preferably in an NGO High School Diploma; Written and verbal fluency in Arabic, oral communication skills in English preferred;
