Internship : Communication Intern

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Based in Beirut, s/he is in charge of the implementation of ACF Lebanon communication plan, particularly in relation to partner organizations, press releases, develop the social media platforms and ACF website contents. Supports the preparation of events in the mission liaising with Referents in Amman and Madrid. REQUIRED SKILLS Initiative Strong communication skills Availability/learning capacity Excellent command of social media; Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy Organized and rigorous Flexible with respect to job priority Great interest in humanitarian topics and fully agreement with the principles and objectives of ACF Computer skills (Microsoft Office) DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS To develop ACF Lebanon visibility in social media in different platforms: To create profiles in several platforms used to publicize the organization work; To draft the content for those platforms and approve it along with communication referent; To enlarge the network with different social media actions; To gather weekly humanitarian and political information from different media and disseminate within the mission and in media if required: Consolidate news and information from different sources regarding humanitarian related topics and disseminate to the mission; Develop press release for specific topics, in collaboration with communication officer in Amman and Madrid; Create a distribution network of local media to enhance ACF visibility; To support the organization and implementation of media events and campaigns developed by ACF in Lebanon Contact national focal points involved in the project; Support on the preparation of the events (logistics); Assist on the design of promotion or awareness campaigns; SCHEDULE The intern will work 3 to 5 days a week from 8:00 to 17:00, according to his/her availibility. Working days need to be agreed with the Country Director directly at the beginning of the internship.
