    Lebanon Water Project (LWP)   Call for Resumes   Strategic Communications Director, Long term position   Background: DAI seeks Strategic Communications Director candidates for the USAID-funded “Lebanon Water Project (LWP).” LWP is a five year project that will work to increase reliable and sustainable access to potable water for Lebanese citizens; improve water management practices and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of public water utilities, while raising awareness on sustainable water use practices, and promote better water governance to help assure long-term protection of Lebanon’s water resources. General Objective:   The Strategic Communications Director will be responsible for overseeing the development of targeted messaging and general information campaigns for the project.   Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor the Communications and Outreach Plan for the LWP Project including media and social media. Oversee the development and annual update of the project’s communication strategy in line with the project’s work plan. Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategy to engage civil society and citizens in improving water use behavior Oversee the development and implementation of all communications and outreach materials, including videos, factsheets, program publications, and success stories.  This includes concept development, and content development in cooperation with technical staff and project management. Oversee all social media and online communication efforts, including website content, Facebook page, Flickr, and YouTube, etc. Oversee all branding and marking for the program in line with USAID regulations. Oversee report and other client-facing deliverable writing including success stories. Provide capacity building, coaching and mentoring to the relevant LWP project staff on communicating project achievements in different media and managing social media (Facebook, etc.).   Qualifications:   Degree in business, communications, journalism, or related field required Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience required Experience with USAID or other international donors highly preferred Experience designing messaging and public outreach campaigns required Experience with programs working on service delivery improvements (e.g water sector) and community engagement preferred.
