Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their home land. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Duties• Responsible for the data entry for all incoming Order Requests into the OR tracker• Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports.• Focal point for sending /receiving of all Invitation to Bid and Request for Quotation documents• Coordinate the receipt of goods from suppliers to departments and field offices with the logistics/procurement officer• Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items conformity to technical specifications and quantities.• To manage the office space enabling staff to increase efficiency and productivity• Assist Admin staff in identifying and ordering items such as; stationery, office equipment and supplies.• Ensure that all orders are tracked from point of request through to final receipt. • Prepare the relevant documents for the procurement of goods/services, referring to the Procurement Manager as needed.• AssistProcurement Officer in identifying new suppliers and keeping the supplier list updated.
About youTo be successful in this role you must have at least a one year experience, bachelor Degree and fluency in written and spoken English. Excellent organizational kills and Excellent interpersonal and team skills are also essential.
Ideally you will also have a previous experience in NGOs.
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs .DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from October 2015 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B+, equivalent to 1455 USD per month.
