The main responsibilities of the psychosocial support are providing assistance for students who are experiencing social or emotional difficulties and supporting all instructional and residential staff members. The psychosocial support also assists with students experiencing academic difficulties.
The responsibilities are but not limited to:
Conducting individual or group sessions with students. These assess need, build trust and explore issues;
Encouraging the student to talk about and explore their feelings and behavior;
Working alongside other professionals in planning how best to help a student for example with family and teachers
Formulating a psychosocial explanation of the student's issues; planning and implementing therapy; evaluating the outcome of therapy;
Writing reports and record-keeping;
Undertaking research, either individually or as part of a team.
Support/give training to Staff on how identify signs of possible psychological vulnerabilities in the children;
Networking within the health professional community and other potential business areas to maintain continuity of work and client base;
Participating in meeting
Others as required by the supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements:
Oral and written communication skill in English and Arabic languages
Good MS Office skills.
Demonstrated capacity to innovate and think creatively
Excellent organizational and interpersonal capabilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
