Consultancy - Value Chain Assessment Reporting Analyst

Terms Of Reference Value Chain Assessment Reporting Analyst (Level of Effort – Up to 15 days) Objective   To lead the report writing for Mercy Corps Solid Waste Management – Recycling Value Chain To contribute to recommendations on opportunities for intervention within the value chain including potential partners and general economic rational of interventions Conduct Key Informant Interviews, as requested   Tasks The Value Chain Assessment Coordinator/Analyst will work closely with the Mercy Corps Senior Livelihoods Technical Advisor, Value Chain Coordinator to: Review and summarize existing research on Solid Waste Management-Recycling (SWM-R) value chain; Collect and review of background data and interview notes; Carry out analysis of the SWM-R value chain identifying the gaps and opportunities for investment; Conduct stakeholder consultations and analysis, as requested by the Technical Advisor and/or Program Manager; Draft and finalize SWM-R value chain report along with including VC map, opportunities for program interventions including VC map, market opportunities, identified gaps and constraints, preliminary cost/benefit and economic analysis and VC upgrading strategies. Deliverables 1.      Program Design Document - Finalized Value Chain Report including VC map, opportunities for program interventions including VC map, market opportunities, identified gaps and constraints, preliminary cost/benefit and economic analysis and VC upgrading strategies Qualifications Candidates should have a master’s degree or higher in economics, business administration, finance related field and at least 3 years of experience in Value Chain Assessments. Exposure to Waste Management and private sector development a plus. Must have EXCELLENT and DEMONSTRABLE English report writing skills
