Men Community Health Educator - (Male Candidates Only)

Scope of work: To facilitate delivering Targeted Safe Motherhood promotion and ensure proper reproductive health education activities among men refugees, the men CHE will: 1. Assist the HEO/RHS in the implementing of the “Targeted Safe Motherhood Campaigns” of public health education and promoting establishment of local reproductive health services among men refugees. 2. Attend the Reproductive Health Education training in the Bekaa to promote outreach community based Safe Motherhood programs among men refugees. 3. Identify the needs of reproductive health promotion and services. 4. Supervise and work closely with the men community health workers on a daily basis field visits. 5. Work closely with the reproductive health supervisor and community health workers on a daily basis by conducting field visits. 6. Get engaged in distribution of health information materials, such as brochures, posters, kits … 7. Answers reproductive health information requests received by department or reviews correspondence. 8. Supervise and provide guidance for CHWs in coordination with the RHS to fulfill the Targeted Motherhood Site Portfolio, data collection, and data report. 9. Provide health education sessions ITSs on RH topics such as family planning, ANC, PNC, newborn care, and other related topics. 10. Conduct outreach visits to follow up on reproductive health needs of among men displaced population especially in maternity and newborn care. 11. Work together with Men Syrian Community Workers (CHWs) and meet on monthly basis to follow up and evaluate the work achieved. 14. Prepare individual and group educational sessions using the IEC, RH educational tools, and evaluation tools provided Pre/post tests, evaluation form. 15. Correct the pre and post tests done at the beginning and end of each educational session. 16. Assist monitoring and evaluation of the reproductive health education activities. 17. Submit weekly and monthly reproductive health reports as requested by the HEPM and HEOs. 18. Assist monitoring & evaluation of Targeted Safe Motherhood project field activities and ensure targets are met and deadlines respected. 18. Attend regular meetings with the HEPM, HEO, and RHS team for project implementation updates. 19. Conduct other RH activities as requested by line manager. 20. Adhere to all of IMC’s policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct and SOPs. Minimum Qualifications Academic and professional Bachelor degree in nursing or social related degree. Experience Experience working in Humanitarian organization and engaged in Syrian Crisis with knowledge in Syrian refugees’ context strongly preferred. Language Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic preferred. Knowledge & Key Skills Good communication skills. Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel and internet preferred
