Child Protection Psychosocial Specialist

SCOPE OF WORK: The Psychosocial (PSS) specialist is based in Beirut and is responsible to provide technical supports to the CP Managers and the PSS field staff in the field. He is responsible to develop in coordination with the CP Coordinator the PSS strategy including training material, training and coaching plan, monitoring tools. The PSS specialist is based in Beirut but with frequent travels to the field. The PSS Specialist in the focal point of PSS activities and works in close collaboration with the Case Management specialist. Position objectives: Responsible of developing and supporting the PSS strategy Provide support through training, coaching , feedback and tools to the CP team Who this position reports to: CP Senior Program Manager CP Coordinator RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Develop the PSS wellbeing baseline tool and coordinate its implementation Develop the PSS strategy for children and families including the guidelines and tools to support it Coordinate with the Case Management (CM) specialist in order to develop guideline that ensure that children requiring specialized PSS support are referred according to SOP and are integrate to the CM system Provide training and coaching to Manager, PSS team and partners to build their capacity Develop a monitoring plan and ensure the monitoring visit in the field, provide recommendation and support their implementation On a weekly basis compile the PSS data provided by the Manager in the field. Ensure their coherence and provide feedback and support if required Through the monitoring tools and data collected, identify PSS trends to support further programming Ensure that PSS programs are well integrated with the case management activities Support the recruitment of the PSS team including the para PSS worker Participate in the development of lesson learned and best practices Any other PSS activities as required Coordination & Representation Attend PSS coordination meeting when required Liaise and collaborate with other PSS actors   Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other IRC sector staff. Other Ensure activities are done in accordance with IRC logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs; Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs Professional Standards All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies. REQUIREMENTS: Five years working experience minimum Experience in working with children mandatory Psychosocial work experience mandatory Experience in working in emergencies preferable Experience in team management Experience in working in NGO preferable Ability to develop training, manuals, and strategy in PSS Experience in  delivering trainings Fluency in Arabic and English mandatory Proficient in Word and excel Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Beirut with frequent travel required between the governorates and the main IRC office in Beirut.
