Tasks
The Value Chain Assessment Coordinator/Analyst will work closely with the Mercy Corps Senior Livelihoods Technical Advisor and INTAJ Program Manager to:
Review and finalise the work plan, implementation schedule and Key Informant Contact List;
Manage the day to day activities of field team members;
Review and summarize existing research on Solid Waste Management-Recycling (SWM-R) value chain;
Organize and conduct stakeholder consultations and analysis;
Coordinate collection and review of background data and interview notes;
Carry out analysis of the SWM-R value chain identifying the gaps and opportunities for investment;
Draft and finalize SWM-R value chain report along with including VC map, opportunities for program interventions including VC map, market opportunities, identified gaps and constraints, preliminary cost/benefit and economic analysis and VC upgrading strategies.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a master’s degree or higher in economics, business administration, finance related field and at least 3 years of experience in Value Chain Assessments. Exposure to Waste Management and private sector development a plus. Must have EXCELLENT and DEMONSTRABLE English report writing skills
