ROLE PURPOSE:
The Data Management assistant (DMA) is responsible for entering and cleaning data into Save the Children Information Management Systems (IMS), ensuring high data quality and integrity. The DMA is also responsible for producing statistics from the data inputted for program use.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: MEAL Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Upload data digitally collected from hosting platform (such as Formhub) to Save the Children IMS, ensuring raw data is saved in specific folders before upload, to minimise loss of data risks
Review data forms for manually collected data to detect inconsistencies and feed back to the program team for resolution
Enter manually collected data in Save the Children’s IMS, ensuring high quality and integrity is achieved
Under the leadership of the Data Management Officer, perform final data cleaning from IMS based on agreed data cleaning protocols
Update/review data in Save the Children’s IMS based on program needs
Under the leadership of the Data Management Officer, produce program statistics from data entered based on data analysis plans and using a variety of data analysis tools (excel, SPSS etc.)
Regularly secure IMS by completing database backups
Ensure beneficiaries’ confidentiality principles by keeping information confidential.
Perform any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Essential
Minimum 1 year of work experience
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
Computer skills (especially Excel, Access and other data entry programmes)
Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment
Commitment to Save the Children values and willingness to abide by Child Safeguarding Policy.
