-Scope of responsibility:
Participate in the overall management of MCC (including staff, pharmacy & stock management) in coordination with expats supervisors.
Plan the MCC activities, coordinate and implement those activities in accordance with MSF standards on quality of care and hygiene protocols, monitor / evaluate those activities.
Assure the correct execution of emergency contingency plan when necessary and realizes a proper communication with supervisors
-Function responsibilities include:
Make a tour in the delivery room and paediatric guard every morning together with the nurses. Inform the responsible doctor about those patients who need special care.
Accompany the doctor during his visit
Guarantee quality of care and follow up of patients in labour and hospitalised during post-partum period
Ensure or coordinate all administrative tasks related to patient flow
Daily management of his/her team: daily task, week’s schedule, annual leave, absences…etc and problem solving and conflict resolution among the team
Identify needs for training and ensure staff training, under the supervision of the hierarchical referent
Participate with the expat in the evaluation of the staff.
Supervise and/or carry out efficiently the pharmacy and medical equipment management
Assure the correct execution of emergency contingency plan when necessary and realizes a proper communication with supervisors

-Experience required:
• 3 - 5 years experience as nurse or midwife (technical competences validation) in a maternity / pediatrics section in a hospital or health structure
• A significant and proven ability for management
• Previous experience with non-governmental organizations is a strong asset
-Required qualification:
• Nursing diploma or midwife diploma with MOH registration
• Very good level of English is required. Fluent in Arabic. French is an asset
-Personal qualification:
• Good communication skills
• High degree of flexibility (tasks and working hours)
• Available on phone for calls at any time, flexibility to come at night if needed
• Good stress management, reliable in hectic situations
• Management experience and leadership skills
• Good organization skills
• ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people
