Project Description SHIFT Incubation Center will run a kitchen training project that targets youth and women in the marginalised area  of Tripoli (Tabaneh – Jabal mohsen And Qobbeh) with the focus of empowering them through vocational training on Pastry and Confectionary production. In addition to the technical training, the candidates will receive a bouquet of personal and professional development trainings (such as life skills, conflict resolution, business, and coaching workshops amongst others) and take part in community projects for a period of 6 months. The goal of the project is to support the candidates in building a self-sufficient, productive and value-adding livelihood, by matching with existing job opportunities or creating their own by starting their home or retail business.   Job Description The project manager is responsible for coordination, communication and management of all aspects of project implementation according to the established time schedule and project objectives. If you are a good communicator, team player and have leadership blood in you, this role is for you. Prior experience in Project Management is preferable but not a must.   Responsibilities The Project Manager will: -      Plan, organize and direct all activities as required for the full implementation of project goals and objectives -      Ensure that project activities are consistent with the project objectives and that objectives can be met with available resources -      Ensure the project meets targets, budgets and time-lines, with appropriate reporting and evaluation -      Ensure timely preparation of information and other written Documents/material as required for implementation of project activities -      Lead, motivate and maintain effective and on-going communication with individuals and groups involved directly or indirectly in the project -      Continually monitor the progress of the project; Organize and coordinate the follow-up and internal communication meetings, and ensure participation of all key stakeholders -      Conduct an orderly, systematic and incremental evaluation of the project; submit activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis, including interim progress report and final report -      Update the Program Manager on a regular basis about the progress of the project -      Work in conjunction with the Program Manager to prepare reports, financial and activities, for funders -      Develop, complete and finalize all project deliverables according to the timeline Additional duties -      Devise an outreach strategy for project candidates based on given criteria and ensure proper implementation of the strategy -      Identify key community organizations that constitute potential partners/collaborators -      Approach key people in visible minority communities in need -      Employ resourcefulness in project implementation and monitoring; troubleshoot project problems; identify and implement creative solutions. -      Plan and oversee the implementation of the project closure event; identify event partners, recruit volunteers, plans tasks and coordinate actions amongst volunteers and candidates -      Reach out to potential recruiters, business owners and suggests and facilitates job/opportunity mapping for candidates -      Responsible for direct communication with security and oversees team safety throughout planned activities   Qualifications Education: A bachelor degree or the equivalent.   Experience: Required -      Finance/accounting, even if basic. -      Monitoring and Reporting procedures and techniques -      written and verbal communication skills in English (mainly) and Arabic, including report writing -      Communication and working with diverse populations -      Excellent interpersonal, time management, problem solving skills -      Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel   Preferable -      Prior experience in not-for-profit organization -      Prior experience in project management, project evaluation and budgeting. -      Applied knowledge of community development and community outreach strategies -      Knowledge of issues related to cooking and hospitality
