-Scope of responsibility:
In a purpose of quality and continuity of care in its project activity, he/she is responsible of planning, organisation and evaluation of activities.
Ensure the daily management of human resources.
Weekly movement to Arsal, management of the clinic and the MCC in Arsal, in a close collaboration with the supervisor.
Weekly movement to Baalbeck, Majdal Anjar and Hermel clinics, supervision of the GP in those clinics in a close collaboration with the supervisor.
-Function responsibilities include:
Towards Patients:
- First foremost, the medical doctor responsible of activity is able to ensure the function of medical doctor and to help when there is a need for it in the ward.
- Plan the need in activities, coordinate and ensure a good course of those activities in accordance MSF medical policies, evaluate these activities.
- Ensure or coordinate all administrative tasks related to patients (exit-paper, transfer-paper …etc).
Human Resources Management:
- Daily management of his/her team: week’s schedule, annual leave, absences…etc and problem solving and conflict resolution among the team.
- Supervision of all team members in the project especially supervision of General Practitioners.
- Define needs for training and ensure staff training, under the supervision of the hierarchical referent.
- Participate in the evaluation of the staff.
Pharmacy and Medical equipment management:
- Supervise and/or carry out efficiently the pharmacy and medical equipment management: drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption related to his part of the project.
Monitoring, Analysis and reporting:
- Participate in the development of the plan of action.
- Actively monitor and report medical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports) and analyse these statistics.
- Ensure a relevant transfer of information to the next duty team.
- Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines.

Experience required:
- 2 years’ experience as medical doctor (technical competences validation)
- A minimum of 6 months experience with an international medical NGO in a management position on a project with existing activity.
- A significant ability for management validated by the hierarchic referent.
-Education:
- Recognized medical doctor diploma/degree
- Licensed to practice medicine in Lebanon (certified from ministry of health);
- Member of Lebanese order of physicians
-Required qualification:
Fluent in English, French is an asset.
Good communication skills, ability to listen, diplomacy.
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people.
Ability to be self-directed and take initiative.
Ability to report immediately to the supervisor keeping a clear communication flow
Open-minded, patient.
Must be prepared to undertake any additional training that MSF deems appropriate and necessary.
