We are looking for a highly qualified motivated Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant for the DRC Field Office in Tyre. Who are weDRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobThe selected candidate has to assist the M&E Officer with data collection & data analysis in South Lebanon; also ensure accurate data collection, entry, and upload through consistent checking of the various databases used,etc.. Duties• Regularly carry out monitoring household surveys in South Lebanon area;• Conduct participatory monitoring activities with beneficiaries to get information and feedback on the quality and relevance of assistance;• Assist in database management for various DRC activities in Tyre and Saida;• Provide regular verbal and written feedback on field observations and findings to the M&E Officer and relevant program staff;• Assist with all other duties as required by the M&E Officer in part with any other administrative or logistical tasks; and• Maintain professional image of DRC. About you• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations.• Undergraduate degree/advanced diploma in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, or related field OR high school diploma with significant professional experience;• Good knowledge of local context and community in Tyre & surrounding areas; Languages: Fluency (native speaker) in written and spoken Arabic, good working knowledge of written and spoken English;• IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite (Excel experience preferred); • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a strong team spirit;• Self-motivated and organized with a demonstrated capacity to manage time and personal work plan; • Optimistic attitude and a great sense of humor are essential requirements of the position. You must be available to start work from 10th of August and be willing and able to work in Tyre.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
