Project Assistant

TITLE:  Project Assistant   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY      Project Delivery Contributes to the assessment of the project area in terms of cultural context, needs and social and economic trends. Strategizes practical ways and approaches to mobilize community-based groups. Outlines recommendations for key issues that arise during the project implementation Coordinate and network with local government units, community based groups and NGOs. Supports partnering efforts and opportunities with the Local Government Units, other government line agencies and structures, NGOs, and other stakeholders through consultation, information sharing. Supports all other activities such as resource mobilization, project conceptualization, fund sourcing, and other. Provides related strategic endeavors as required of the project. Contributes to the running monitor of the prevailing security conditions by gathering security-related information. Assists in ensuring that the necessary measures are in place to ensure security, safety, health, and well-being of project’s staff, and other visitors; and that security standards and procedures are strictly adhered to. Other tasks and responsibilities needed in the completion of the primary role.   Administration Ensures the appropriate use and security of assets and equipment assigned for the implementation of the project’s activities. Undertakes proper filing and maintenance of the project’s documentation and correspondence   Monitoring and Evaluation Responsible for the day to day implementation of M&E activities Ensure project monitoring processes are implemented at field level and are consistent with M&E framework (development and implementation of data collection plan, data analysis plan, training of Enumerators tools’ field testing etc., data cleaning and validation etc.) Ensure data collection and performance monitoring visits and spot checks (including quality benchmark monitoring) are regularly performed, and lead to improvement recommendations Ensure accountability mechanisms are adequately implemented and monitored at field level Support development of Terms of Reference for situation analysis or assessments, baselines, evaluations, research, reviews or other ad hoc information gathering exercises When requested, support the organization of assessments, evaluations, research work or learning events and ensure adequate documenting of the processes and results When requested, support senior project staff in producing regular evidence and knowledge drawn from project data to inform future programming    Institutional Learning Contributes to organizational learning and enhanced capacity in planned intervention and activities. Collect learning and analysis on the impact of the work in the communities as opportunities for arise   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE University degree Minimum of 3 years of work experience in humanitarian and development contexts in NGOs Minimum of 1 year of work experience in project monitoring and evaluation.   Previous working experience in Tripoli is an asset. Knowledgeable in Microsoft word and excel application Effective communication skills, both in written and verbal forms in order to establish effective relationships with a wide range of audiences, including at a geographical distance Ability to think and act fast High flexibility Strong sense of urgency and work ethic. Can tolerate working under ambiguous circumstances and sometimes difficult situations
