Social Media Exchange is recruiting a digital content producer to provide multimedia content development support across SMEX platforms, including our website SMEX.org, online learning platform NetHawwal.com, and knowledge base for netizens Tasharuk.net.
As the digital content producer, you will work closely with SMEX principals and partners to create exceptional, accessible, shareable content for a diverse range of audiences in Arabic and English. This is an early-career position.
Key areas of responsibility
Assist SMEX and partners to develop, adapt, and assemble training content on a variety of topics for the NetHawwal online learning platform, including identifying and resolving technical bugs with our web development company
Produce screencasts and other help materials for SMEX projects
Research and publish new content around technology and social change on daily basis on our Tasharuk platform in Arabic and English
Prepare blogposts and develop other multimedia content projects for the SMEX website
Work with the team to produce our monthly email newsletter
Enhance and monitor the SMEX social media presence

Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills, in both Arabic and English (demonstrated native fluency in both languages is a must)
Strong digital design and production skills for a wide variety of environments, including documents, photo-editing, slide decks, screencasts, audio, and web video. Animation experience is a big plus. Familiarity with a wide range of production tools is also helpful.
Experience developing and implementing content-rich social media
Desired Qualifications
Comfort with online collaboration tools, such as Google docs
Experience participating in or delivering online courses preferred
Awareness of principles of copyright law and Creative Commons licenses
