Health & Nutrition Senior Program Coordinator

Participates at the negotiations with the local communities, government authorities and religious leaders  at the municipalities level Help Program Manager to build strategic partnerships with senior government officials, NGOs, including the private sector, UN agencies and Non-government state actors in order to advocate for and support the implementation of RI program in Lebanon. Tracks the performance indicators defined, reports on progress to supervisor, signals any difficulties encountered in program implementation, and proposes improvements as needs basis. Provide technical assistance to the Program Manager in the development and direct implementation of health, nutrition and health education project activities of the program. In collaboration with the Program Manager prepares quantitative and qualitative reports of all health and nutrition activities according to donor and MoPH reporting guidelines. Prepare periodic work-plans and ensure the implementation of all approved project activities in line with the project cooperation agreement with donor. Work together with the Program Manager on developing and tracking work plans and action plans for teams. Support to general logistics related to the project activities Follow up on procurement of supplies and stationary for the project activities as per RI procurement policy; Assist Program Manager in facilitation of regular trainings for  team members  to strengthen their skills in areas of health and nutrition service provision, Ensures that standard procedures and protocols are practiced by staff. Travels frequently to RI supported sites for supervisory visits. Participates at the negotiations with the local communities, government authorities and religious leaders at the municipalities level Undertake regular field assessment of target groups and their needs, analyze and organize data/information Supervise the day to day activities of all coordinators, health and nutrition staff and volunteers under the program Supervise the identification and recruitment of health and nutrition staff for MMU and volunteers for program activities. Work with and assist Program Manager to maintain strategic partnerships with relevant governmental, non-governmental and private sector agencies for the support and sustainability of program activities. Supervise data collection health and nutrition database with results from nutrition surveys or assessments Liaise with Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure progress towards established indicators. Provide recommendations for key indicators and information that should be assessed as part of health and nutrition assessments Keep well-informed of relevant nutrition policies and guidelines in the country and communicate necessary updates to Program Manager and  all  technical staff Attend nutrition and health working group meetings, technical meetings intended to build technical and managerial capacity, and other relevant meetings requested by the Program Manager Conduct relevant nutrition and health related training for program staff Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Program Manager and report to Program Manager Follow routine data collection and reporting; prepare monthly statistical morbidity and mortality reports, reproductive health reports and immunization data  from 5 mobile units (medical doctors, nurses, midwives and MOPH vaccinators)
