DIGITAL OPPORTUNITY TRUST - JOB DESCRIPTION DIGITAL/ ICT – SENIOR TEACHER FACILITATOR   OFFICE: Operating from the identified public school(s) AREA: Bint Jbeil Area REPORTS TO: Area Manager   Organization: Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT www.lebanon.dotrust.org) is a Local NGO, member of the DOT networks in countries throughout Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. DOT transforms and supports young women and men, as they become leaders of economic and education change in their societies. In Sep 2014 DOT launched its education program Teach Up! (TU!), and to support its implementation, DOT Lebanon is seeking to hire Senior Teacher Facilitators.   Position Description: As a Senior Teacher Facilitator, you will work to support the Implementation of DOT’s Digital Education Program TU!© Program in Lebanon, working from the local secondary public school and on Field supporting a group of Teacher Facilitators. The position will see you reflecting excellent people, communication, and ICT skills, this position requires a person who can easily adapt to change and can manage working under pressure, multi-tasker, innovative in finding solutions and thinking outside the box. The position on offer will see you demonstrating 21st century skills in assigned school, as you will be working proactively and collaborating with secondary teachers and school principals of 1 secondary public school, you will be working as part of DOT Lebanon country team also, you will be working independently and managing your own administrative work and working to deadlines under the guidance of the Area Manager.   The ideal candidate we are looking for will be: Educated to a minimum of Undergraduate degree in education, computer science. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the class room preferably in a secondary institution. Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, Outlook and productivity software. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Adaptable courteous and willing to change priorities at a short notice. Ability to meet deadlines and handle criticism positively. Excellent managerial, coaching and leadership skills. Good interpersonal and oral communication skills. Strong computer knowledge. Accountable and reflects ownership to his own actions and decisions made. A good communicator in Arabic, English and French. Possess an excellent Facilitation and Negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability in meeting and achieving several objectives with strict deadline. Meticulous and excellent attention to detail and an active listener.   The ideal candidate will also be a proactive and efficient multi-tasker. This candidate can work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic working environment. He/ She will have excellent writing skills, is creative and committed.  Scope 1: On the field: 40%: Provides technical and administrative support to respective teacher facilitators in schools working within area of responsibility. Provides coaching to teacher facilitators in order to resolve issues and challenges as they arise during their assignment at school and of school. Act as a focal point to maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Educational software and tools used by Teacher facilitators. Monitor weekly and monthly documents related to Registered Teachers and verify information on data collected from the field before submittal to Area Manager. Regular coordination with the Area Manager on weekly field visits, constraints, successes, recommendations, etc. Replaces TFs in school of periods of long absences or as assigned by Area Manager Assists teacher’s facilitators on the use of Data Collection software and organizations related portals effectively, Administer Teachers registration flow and assign them to their cluster and working group. Regularly identifies technology tools to improve personal subject matter and pedagogical knowledge. Scope 2: At school Assigned: 40%   Assess the school ICT environment and personnel. Introducing the Digital Education Program to Teachers and School Principals Support School Teachers and Administrators through the creation of Student centered learning process. Building and developing Teacher’s capacities on using digital tools and applying them in the class room.  Enhancing Teacher capacity in using, and creating digital resources applicable to the school and to the Lebanese curriculum Ability to support Teachers and guiding them to be creating digital classroom projects that students will work through to demonstrate their understanding of a specific subject matter. Coach Teachers and School Administrators to practice appropriate integration of technology in classroom, to support individual Student learning in class and in their personal and professional development Regularly conducts workshops for Teachers and School Administrators on new technology tools, productivity software and classroom management software tools.   Promote and model Digital Citizenship responsibility for Teachers and Students Regularly uses technology to improve personal subject matter and pedagogical knowledge Able to use technology and subject-specific tools in a variety of problem-based and project-based applications Upload on the DOT intranet knowledgebase, resources, and best practices and actively engage in utilizing the information on the shared intranet. Undertake other duties assigned by the Area Manager and Program Manager. Scope 3: Administrative tasks 20%: Effectively and accurately identifies, collects, relevant data, lessons learned, and success stories. Collects and verifies invoices, receipts and time sheets collected from TFs prior to submittal to Area manager. Follow up, Monitors, verifies the accuracy of  weekly reports, Monitoring and Evaluation Data Sheets, and other data provided by Teacher facilitators    Collect, review, analyze and submit needed reports and/or information in relation to the implementation of the Program.   Compensation: DOT is a non-profit INGO that recognizes that change is driven by involving the best people.
