Background
War Child Holland (WCH) – Lebanon’s Emergency response programs are fast growing and providing education and psychosocial support to Syrian refugee children. The Yallah Peace Project aims to augment social cohesion between Syrian and Lebanese students, as well as to promote peace and nonviolent communication between them by training around 300 youth leaders in 10 public schools (Beirut & Mount Lebanon) on psychosocial support and conflict prevention.
Objectives and Tasks
- Develop a final comprehensive report.
- Plan, implement and evaluate a video shooting course that aims to capture the essence of the Yalla Peace Project with its different stages (Raising awareness, Capacity Building, and Peace Action Plans).
- Ensure the availability of cameras, computers and/or any other equipment and materials needed during the process of recording and preparing the video clip.
- Coordinate and organize the video shooting sessions.
- Collect available forms of media (mainly pictures & videos) from the facilitators to be used in the final clip.
- Prepare a final video clip (around 10 minutes long)
- Maintain a child friendly recording environment by following War Child’s Child Safety and Integrity Policies.
- Be friendly with children and encourage participation and creativity during the recording sessions.
Methodology
- Prepare a video clip about Yalla Peace utilizing the pictures and the videos.
- Meet with school facilitators and discuss success stories.
- Plan the plot according to success stories.
- Set appointments with school directors and record success stories
Planning
- The Training report has to be sent during the first week of July.
- The consultancy will take place from the 20th of May 2015, to the 30th of June 2015.
- Video shooting sessions are to be held during weekdays, within school hours. The video shooting sessions are to be flexible.
