Objective of the position:
To support and assist in the implementation and realization of project goals and objectives for an education and psychosocial support intervention for Syrian children.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
The Program Assistant will work under the supervision of the War Child Program Manager, to whom he/she will report.
Support the implementation of the overall program; by providing support to the Program Manager and Project Coordinators
Coordinate logistics for trainings.
Manage data entry for project activities.
Maintain the filing system for partners.
Support translation of documents.
Support in other administrative or support tasks.
Time-frame
The Program Assistant is a full-time position (5 days per week). The position will start asap and will last for 6 months, with possibility of extension depending on performance.
Duty station and travel arrangements
The Program Assistant will be based in War Child’s Beirut office.
Required skills and competencies
Fluency in Arabic required; and fluency in English preferred
Experience in similar positions with an NGO is preferable
Preferably previous experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations
Team oriented.
Flexible and responsive to program challenges, with willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
Proficient in Ms Office - word processing, spread sheets, etc.
