Preschool Educators

The Tahaddi Education Center (TEC) provides educational opportunities for at-risk, out of school children in Beirut (behind the Sport City). We are currently looking for full time Educators for KG2 and KG3 levels, English educated with a BA in Early Education or Elementary Education, with experience in teaching KG and elementary levels In addition to the KG class, the educator will also be involved in other activities such as tutoring children of the community and organizing activities in July. Full-time position:  (Monday – Friday, 8am – 3.30pm) Position Aim: Help and support unschooled and /or deprived children from the community to become a valuable part of society through holistic education initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Manage and educate groups of children aged 4 to 6, according to the TEC requirements, using exciting methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests. Plan, prepare, animate, lead and mediate in a creative way. Organize educational and social activities for children. Show self-motivation, enthusiasm and creativity. Work effectively with team members.   Tahaddi is a faith-based organization. Reporting: The Educator reports to the Coordinator and/or the Director of the TEC Skill Requirements: A full commitment to Tahaddi core values and humanitarian mandate Full adherence to Tahaddi policies Strong Arabic and English language skills. Good relational skills with a positive and encouraging spirit Nonjudgmental attitude, maturity and patience in dealing with children and community members of different backgrounds Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context Computer literate, be at least familiar with MS Office software package
