Local individual consultant or organization to develop and deliver training modules aimed at providing vulnerable youth, adolescents, and parents/caregivers in the Bekaa and South areas of Lebanon with professional development, household financial management, and employability training. Background and Introduction Mercy Corps is currently implementing the ‘No Lost Generation: Advancing Adolescents Busma program in Lebanon, funded by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD)  reaching over 7,000 adolescents with layered psychosocial support and skill building activities including: life skills building, goal-setting, participation in recreational activities, and community engagement through impact projects and protection awareness events. The second phase of the No Lost Generation program aims to support this generation of young people by promoting learning and psychosocial resiliency, building social understanding and peace, and renewing plans and re-establishing goal planning for the future. Social stability efforts through activities such as diversity training, life skills education, and community impact projects are social capital tools recommended to counter discrimination, lost years of formal education, poverty and potential for radicalism and extremism for the next generation. The second phase of the NLG project aims to further build the capacity of Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian youth coaches between the ages of 25-35. These coaches act as the instructors of adolescents (13-17 years old) by providing life-skill courses and recreational activities to adolescents.  These trainings will also be offered to adolescents between the ages of 15-17 and youth in the community as well who are interested in developing these skills. In addition, the NLG program aims to advance the skills of the mothers/fathers/caregivers of adolescents participating in our community center, which also support through life-skills training. In order to advance the employability skills of these coaches and mothers/fathers/caregivers, the trainer/organization will provide training focusing on, but not limited to, the following training: Professional development: CV training, interviewing skills and etiquette Financial literacy Household management Career counseling Duties and Responsibilities The individual consultant or organization shall develop and deliver a series of professional development, financial literacy and management training to youth coaches, the vocational trainees from ‘Fostering Self-Reliance for Displaced Syrians and Host Communities in South of Lebanon’ (FORDs) livelihoods project, as well as mothers/fathers/caregivers. The trainer will deliver 40 sessions over a period of 6 weeks. They will be expected to meet with the implementing team to tailor the curriculum to the beneficiaries already acquired skills, as well as ensure relevance. They will work under the overall supervision of the Program Manager. Scope of Work   Conduct an assessment in order to inform the additional trainings that will be provided based on the needs of the youth coaches, adolescents, and mothers/fathers/caregivers. Develop a training curriculum focused on advancing the employability skills to enhance the employability of youth coaches, mothers/fathers/caregivers, and the FORDs trainees. Deliver interactive training modules and material aimed at enhancing these youth and caregivers’ employability. Prepare a post-training evaluation report on the outcome of and responses from the participants attending the training workshops. Expected Deliverables Develop an outline for interactive training modules and material aimed at enhancing youth’s employability skills and economic resilience. Produce a manual of the delivered training materials and ‘tip sheets’ to support the persons who received the training. Produce a manual that can be used by trainers to implement similar trainings on the same topics to other youth/adolescents/parents. Deliver a minimum of 40 trainings to a minimum of 60 youth coaches and 200 mothers/fathers/caregivers in the months of May and June. Each participant should have a completed CV, be able to conduct themselves in an interview and be informed of interviewing etiquette, have a personal spending/savings plan, as well as tools to support them in household budgeting and management. They should be informed about basic bank information, among other deliverables as discussed after assessment.
