Targeting Team Leader (South Lebanon)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Targeting Team Leader is responsible for the overall day to day management of the M&E team in coordination with the Base M&E Supervisor and MEAL Coordinator during the targeting exercise. The Targeting Team Leader will regularly travel between the two offices of the South Base in order to ensure proper implementation of Targeting Household visits and monitor staff while in the field. Furthermore, the Targeting Team Leader will support the M&E Supervisor in weekly movement planning and reporting to the MEAL Coordinator and WFP.  SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES Objective 1: Monitor the conducting of Targeting Household visits in the field Work towards monitoring 3 Household visits per M&E Officer per week in the field Monitor M&E Officers to ensure quality of implementation of the tools (interviewing techniques, following of methodology, utilization of data collection tools) Quality control of data entry – review sample of completed assessments to ensure quality, and absence of logical errors Objective 2: Support M&E Supervisor in Coordination of ACF’s M&E team in the south Define the monthly planning of the team in coordination with M&E Supervisor Assign the weekly work plans and transportation needs for the teams in Sour and Saida in consultation with the M&E Supervisor Quality control on the field teams performance in the field on a weekly basis Coordinate planned movements with Municipalities and Logistics team  Provision of training for new hires & refresher training for existing staff on targeting tools Objective 3: Analyze the information and write monitoring reports. Systematically review data consistency after the field visits Ensure that database is regularly updated and easily consultable/searchable Gap detection and analysis Preparation of weekly and monthly reports in coordination with M&E Supervisor for donor & MEAL Coordinator & Head of Base Report possible problem or conflict during the activities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES Minimum  One year of experience in a related fieldwork Experience in data analysis, reporting, monitoring and assessment. Experience in a similar position. Experience using WFP tools an asset Initiative, organise, availability/learning capacity Ability to work and motivate a team, Interpersonal qualities and diplomacy –organized and rigorous  Very good computer skills (Word, Excel) Knowledge of ODK an asset Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is a must.
