Mid-Term Evaluation A Youth-led Approach to Peaceful Coexistence Between Syrian Refugee and Lebanese Host Communities Search for Common Ground (SFCG) seeks an experienced consultant to conduct a Mid-Term Evaluation for its EU funded project in Lebanon. The study should be completed by the 15th of June 2015. Intervention Summary SFCG Lebanon in partnership with LOST (Lebanese Organisation for Studies and Training) in the Bekaa and DPNA (Development for People and Nature Association) in South Lebanon is implementing a project titled “A Youth-led Approach to Peaceful Coexistence Between Syrian Refugee and Lebanese Host Communities”.   This project is targeting Syrian refugee and Lebanese youth from host communities in four locations in the Bekaa (Ain-Hermel-Baalbeck-Bednayel) and four locations in South Lebanon (Saida-Nabatieh-Sour-Jezzine). The Mid-Term Evaluation At the end of the first year of implementation, the mid-term evaluation will assess project’s progress towards its goal and objectives. It will also provide an opportunity for adjustments to ensure the achievement of these objectives within the lifetime of the project. Consultant’s Qualifications SFCG Lebanon seeks an experienced consultant with the following qualifications: Proficiency in Arabic and English More than 5 years of experience in project evaluation or the equivalent in DM&E expertise, including collecting and analysing data from interviews, surveys, FGDs, etc. Experience in working with international organisations Experience in conducting baseline and evaluation studies Strong communication and writing skills Understanding of and experience working with youth empowerment (ideally through arts’ approaches) programming in Lebanon Research and evaluation methods and data collection skills Ability to be flexible with time and work schedule Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines Available for future evaluation contracts with SFCG Conflict resolution/peace building experience To receive the detailed Terms of Reference for this evaluation, please send a request to mortmans@sfcg.org
