Final Evaluation Consultant

The consultant will conduct a final evaluation for a project of War Child Holland (WCH) that is funded by the European Commission (EC) and implemented through local partners. The 18-month child protection project has provided education and psychosocial support for Syrian children. The consultant will be responsible to conduct research and analysis on the overall impact and achievement of this EC funded project, as well as to compile an assessment of lessons learned and best practices for the project. The consultant will be responsible to report against the logical framework and evaluate the achievement of the outputs and outcomes based on the planned indicators. War Child will provide access to the monitoring tools and reports received throughout the project, and the Consultant will conduct in person or remote interviews and focus group discussion with War Child project staff or implementing partner staff. The evaluation will be used by WCH to inform the planning for the continuation of the project. The consultancy will be based entirely at War Child’s office in Beirut. A total of 15 working days will be used to carry out the evaluation. Start date: As soon as possible. Required skills and competencies • Previous working experience in social development projects • Good analytical skills • Excellent inter-personal skills; good communicator • Previous experience in carrying out focus group discussions/interviews • Experience working in Syria context • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English • Excellent English writing skills
