Medical Activity Manager

Function and responsibilities : Patient care Provide medical consultations and medical follow up for the patients arriving to MSF clinic (mainly children under 15 and patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease program), according to MSF protocols; Ensure a good follow up of the referred patients, and a surveillance in the quality of care provided by secondary health care centres the Project is working with, including  a close control of the hospital’s bills; Ensure the implementation of the standard MSF therapeutic protocols and procedures, providing technical support when needed; Ensure the quality of the medical/nursing care, confidentiality and information traceability, patient surveillance, as well as ensuring that hygiene and sterilization rules are used by the health care personnel;     Team supervision : Coordinate and supervise the medical team (Nurse and Gynaecologist); Ensures all administrative procedures and documents (individual patient’s card and registration book,  transfer paper, etc.) are used correctly by all the staff, as well as the existing data management tools; Supervise the management of the pharmacy by the nurse pharmacist, follow  pharmacy activity and correlation with medical activity, preparing monthly and emergency orders; Organize regular medical meeting and training for the medical staff;   Management Coordinate and supervise the medical team (Nurse and Gynaecologist) and activities; In close coordination with the HR department and the Project Medical Referent, plan and supervise the associated processes (recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) for the medical staff of the clinic; Responsible for scheduling duty rosters for all medical staff; Collaborate with the logistic department to ensure the medical activities;               4.       Monitoring, analysis and reporting   Ensure MD’s, nurses and mental health staffs are properly and regularly reporting; Update the monthly medical data in the standard MSF tools, and prepare the monthly medical report for the Project; Report to Project Medical Referent all the medical activities, and close coordinate before to take any decision-action;           5.       Networking: Cooperate with the PMR in ensuring a regular and constructive exchange with the NGO operating in the same area, Hospital representative, MoSa representative and MOPH representative;                  6.       Strategy Participate in the development of the plan of action together with PMR/FCo/Mental Health Responsible; Propose any action (administration tools, data collections, activities reorganization)  to facilitate the organization of the medical activities;            7.       Additional tasks: On request perform any other additional duties given by the immediate supervisor in order to allow the organization to function optimal;

• Bachelor degree in general medicine (Diploma)
• Licensed to practice medicine in Lebanon (certified from ministry of health)
• Member of Lebanese order of physicians
• Has an interest in migration issues
• Fluent English / Arabic -
Experience required: 2 to 3 years experience in governmental or private hospital as a family medicine doctor is required. Previous experience with nongovernmental organizations as an MD is a strong asset.
