Math And Computer Teacher

The Math and Computer teacher will work on building a firm foundation for refugee students to help them get integrated into Lebanese schools through an Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) that focuses on the students learning fundamentals in Math and in usage of a computer. Key Responsibilities Teach basic academic skills, including algebra, calculations, and geometry. Coaches and teaches students in the fundamentals of computer software and hardware. Lead students through creative play and hands-on activities. Plan lessons according to ALP curriculum and assess students, tailoring their lessons according to the abilities of the children in the classroom. Coordinate with other teachers and school principal. Conduct regular teachers’ and parents’ meetings. Applying JRS policies during class time. Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and team working skills Good cultural awareness and sensitivity Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential Experience in planning class programs Experience in participatory programs Experience in working with refugees is a plus Proficiency in MS office programs Work Schedule Instructing 15 hours of Math and 3 hours of Computer / week. Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM till 6:30 PM
