Psychologist Supervisor

Participate to assessments on IYCF/Mental Health and Care Practices and identification of implementing sites and to implement and monitor the psychologist’s nutrition and psychological activities provided to beneficiaries. Support the implementation and monitoring of the IYCF and CMAM programme in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. He/she will be responsible to participate to the planning, to implementation and evaluation and hand-over of the project. Required skills: Sense of confidentiality – Skilled activity leader - Good listening, good communication and adaptation capacity – Good relations with people – Empathetic and patient - Good team spirit and ability to work in a team. Autonomy, creativity, flexibility. Good knowledge of the area and local customs. Fluency in Arab and English Due to the specific context and the sensitiveness of the topics, females are especially encouraged to apply. Objective 1: Needs analysis and adapting approaches to cultural context In collaboration with the nutrition team, assess on a regular base Mental Health and Care Practices among the community settled in the intervention area. Identify activities to implement in order to respond to the needs identify among the Syrian community and adapt the program tools and activities accordingly in coordination with the Head of Project Objective 2: Follow up of Mental Health component of the IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) program Tasks: Analyse on-going activities and propose changes if needed. Monitoring and develop group activities for caregivers with Children under 2 and pregnant women at field level. Support the Head of Project regarding the psychosocial/psychological aspect of the CMAM component of the project upon request Define and set up appropriate referral system psychosocial/psychological matter in Coordination with the Head of Project. Participate and set up any other MHPSS activities that could be identify according To the beneficiaries needs or linked to the nutritional/psychosocial situation. Support and train both CMAM and IYCF psychologist at the field in both individual and Group therapy. Objective 3: Programme Management and Reporting Support the Head of Project for the elaboration of the monthly treasury Forecast of the psychosocial activities of the program To take part in the new orientation of the psychosocial actions in short term if necessary and to the definition of the actions in medium and long term. Realize a monthly activity progress report in collaboration with the Head of Project. Collect and analyse team reports   Objective 4: HR and team Management:  Organize supervision on regular basis for Psychologist Field Officer and Social Worker.  Participate to define of professional objectives  Objective 5: Representation and Coordination: (In coordination with head of project and psychologist expert) Participate in internal and external meetings and working groups. Participate to meetings with external humanitarian agencies. Liaise with Donors and authorities and take contacts with the local health system in order to promote integration and further development of complementary activities. Actively participate to the reinforcement and improvement of internal coordination with others ACF program Due to the emergency context, the psychologist can be requested to participate to any other mental health and care practices activities who could be identify according to the beneficiaries needs and the humanitarian situation.

Education Degree Details
Degree in psychology and a member of a professional association, experience in facilitating training, working experience in refugees/IDPs and familiar with the stimulation / knowledge of methods. Knowledge of post-crisis monitoring, in maternal and child health and in nutrition will be highly appreciated.
