Protection Assistant

Assess needs of women and girls in a community by participating in safety assessment and community mapping exercises and work closely with Outreach Team to develop appropriate and timely response strategies Lead and facilitate regular emotional support group sessions, including emergency emotional support groups for women and girls at high risk of GBV, following AVSI’s standard guidance Manage and oversee delivery of all other psychosocial support activities, including skills-building and recreational activities, ensuring psychosocial outcomes are prioritized Identify, recruit and supervise teachers and trainers who deliver psychosocial activities in mobile settings Organise, manage and supervise activities in Child Friendly Spaces (static and mobile) Organise, manage and supervise acitivites in Women Safe Spaces including GBV prevention activities and vocational training in collaboration with Protection Specialist Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survivors of gender-based violence), including counseling and basic case management Provide direct age-appropriate and specialized support and care for vulnerable adolescent and girl children (including survivors of GBV), including counseling and case management. Collect accurate and confidential data Participate in regular case management meetings and conferences if needed to ensure quality of service provision Organize daily and weekly activities, compile follow up form and reports and ensure bureaucratic work. Support data collection at field level Establish a good collaboration on field with other actors involved in humanitarian assistance Provide efficient management support to the Project Manager and Field Coordinator. Perform any other relevant duties as required
