Intern- Rsd (Research) Unit - Int012 - Beirut [Full Time Internship Position (Unpaid)]

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT Accountability - Proactively work to support and assist the RSD Unit in research and administrative support Responsibility  Under the guidance of the associate RSD Officer and the overall supervision of the RSD Officer , the Intern will perform the following tasks: - Conduct research on country of origin information (COI) and other issues related to RSD - Provide administrative support in scheduling and filing of requests received from persons of concern. - Assist in monitoring RSD trends and in compiling and analysing RSD statistics related to RSD case processing. - Perform other duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- University degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, Law, or other related field.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic. French is a plus
- Strong drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong research skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

- Good Communicator with strong interpersonal skills to deal with asylum seekers and refugees of different cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Willingness to work under sometimes stressful conditions
- Ability to work under pressure.
