Life Skills Teacher

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide guidance and overall technical support in enhancing No Lost Generation’s capacity in education and life skills programming with reference to the World Vision Lebanon’s strategic education and life skills priorities identified in the country strategy. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate and formulate the local education and life skills strategy within the framework of the country operational strategy Lead the implementation of the life skills project at the assigned center; Support in developing a life skills curriculum, if necessary; Coordinate with the Education Coordinator and National Office to ensure strategic alignment of the education and life skills sector Prepare training material for youth on life skills; Mobilize youth and train them on life skills; Provide coaching for the youth in order for them to practice the peer to peer education model; Provide awareness sessions to parents on life skills; Prepare a set of topics for awareness sessions for parents and community members as needed Participate in and support the community partners in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and measurements of program/project effectiveness to track the delivery of joint outcomes. Strengthen the quality, partner ownership, and sustainability of education and lifeskills interventions in NLG. Build network with key organizations involved with life skills education; Build positive and constructive relationships with community members and partners in order to understand their realities and facilitate development processes effectively; Strengthen the understanding of community development and ownership and of social sustainability among the stakeholders in the area; Encourages an understanding of and sensitivity to child development and child vulnerability factors among community members and partners; Participate in and support the community partners in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and measurements of program/project effectiveness to track the delivery of joint outcomes. Encourage and enable communities to share and learn from their own experiences as part of confidence and capacity building;
