Storekeeper

Job Summary The main purpose of the position is to ensure that the warehouse is managed to required standards. The storekeeper will be required to ensure all stock is kept securely and in conditions which do not damage the items; maintain accurate records of all stock movements; ensure items are dispatched in a timely manner; and ensure all proper checks are followed so that goods are only released to authorized personnel for authorized purposes. The incumbent will also source quotations for purchases, prepare stock reports and transport reports   Duties and Responsibilities 1. Support to Distributions Liaising with the Programme  Managers and Logistician in coordinating non-food items  and other supplies in preparation for distribution activities Compiling stock data to assist the Programme Manager in developing distribution plans and reports  2. Stock Management Receiving and recording stock inflow and outflow on stock systems Verifying goods specifications with suppliers and completing appropriate documentation Supervising the incoming stock Quality control – checking the quality of stocks received and storage conditions; monitoring expiry date of stocks and reporting these in monthly reports Stock control - undertaking stock takes at least on a monthly basis and reporting on any discrepancies Document in detail any loss, theft or damage to commodities that may occur while they are unloaded, stored or dispatched from the warehouse. Reporting to the ACD S stock levels and anomalies in stock management Maintaining the security of stocks and access to warehouses Follow up with suppliers and transporters about deliveries and problems   3. Stock Record Keeping Maintenance of daily stock documentation / records as per Concern and donor requirements Production of monthly stock reports Reconciliation of stocks periodically and reporting on any discrepancies    4. Systems Compliance Ensure the adherence to warehousing / stock management policies and procedures as set out by Concern Worldwide and donors.   5. Staff Management Managing and supervising casual general hands / loaders ensuring they know their duties and any relevant Concern policies   6.            Adhere to the standards of conduct outlines in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Code of Conduct   7.            Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and required     Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Attitude Required   No tertiary qualifications are required Two or more  years of relevant work experience Ability to prepare computerized spreadsheets and reports Strong numeracy skills High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny Familiarity with work of NGOs and with refugees is desirable Strong  verbal communication skills in Arabic Good written and spoken English The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality Strong negotiation and listening skills
