JOB DESCRIPTION     SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ON THE ROLE     Role Name / Designation Fundraising &Marketing Associate     Function /  Business Unit Fundraising & Marketing     Full-time/Part-time Full-time     Reporting Supervisor (Which role does this role report into) Executive Director             SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE       Responsible for all Fundraising and PR activities for the organization. Main objectives are to raise funds for the foundation by organizing and running fundraising activities and events, to review the fundraising strategy and develop an action plan accordingly, and to develop a marketing campaign for the foundation, in addition to any relevant tasks requested by the supervisor.                         SECTION III: DO - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ROLE   Perspective Responsibility   Broad classification of work tasks Actions/ work tasks that enable the role to achieve the job's overall purpose   Planning & Strategizing   Manage the presence of Mentor in the region and ensure that the foundation gains exposure in the Arab region by developing a marketing strategy   Review the foundation fundraising strategy and develop a workplan accordingly   Work closely with Communications and Media department to ensure brand integrity and alignment within communications and media strategy   Execution & Delivery Raise funds for the foundation according to the target set by the ED   Develop a list/database of potential donors to target for fundraising events/actions   Propose ad organize fundraising initiatives and events   Maintain a calendar of events and implement a system that enables effective event management and long term planning   Design, coordinate and oversee the management of events (with partners such as PR agency and events companies)   Oversee obtaining and purchasing needs with regards to catering audio-visual, security and rental needs for the events   Identify all risk aspects and a have a crisis management plan in place for the events   Develop marketing documents in terms of content and design; and manage their production   Coordinate with the legal firm and compliance department to ensure all vendors’ contracts are legally reviewed   Ensure all agreements or contracts related to events  are officially signed between all relevant parties   Delegate and coordinate tasks with other departments   Coordinate the work of the ambassadors and friends of mentor committees   Financial/Resource Mobilization Prepare a budget for the marketing and fundraising vents department/function   Manage events on budget and on time   Negotiate favourable rates and agreements for all services related to marketing and events and outside vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive cost without jeopardizing the service quality   Partners & Beneficiaries Act as right-arm support for the Executive Director on targeted fundraising activities to raise donations   Manage regional and global presence of the foundation, track events/conferences and decide on participation   Conduct pre-event and onsite communication with relevant team members and departments   Keeping up the foundation brand among other stakeholders and partners   Work closely with internal and external partners to define event goal, objectives and specific implementation plans that promote the foundation   Communicate between relevant departments the objectives, deliverables, milestones and requirements from each department to ensure proper coordination and successful events   Work with Communications & Media department and outside vendors to develop brands, marketing labels and tools for events as required   Ensure speakers are well briefed with all their logistics, itinerary summary of the events and are well prepared to provide effective presentation or participation to the events   Conduct full event management and marketing as well as conduct a post event debriefing sessions and participants’ feedback to incorporate learning into future plans   Learning & Knowledge Management Create an environment of teamwork within the foundation   Share knowledge and lessons learned with the foundation team   Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the foundation, building productive cross-functional relationships     SECTION V: DISPLAY - KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS   In this section, please mention the qualification, technical skills and capabilities which are essential to execute the role.
