Driver (X3) - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Driver for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa. Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties Drives vehicles responsibly according to DRC’s Vehicle Policy. Understands and follows all traffic rules and regulations. Transports people and ensures that all the passengers are using seatbelts and abiding to DRC cars rules. Transports material (making sure that the material & vehicle are not being damaged while stacking). Applying standard procedures in case of accident with a written report to the supervisor Checks car equipment & ensures proper fuelling, with every car to have a full tank at the beginning and end of every month. Ensures proper cleaning for all the cars, at least once a week or more frequently if necessary. Ensures that non- DRC staff, needing to travel in DRC vehicles have authorization from the appropriate person. Fills all necessary documents and worksheets related to the fleets, example the logbooks. Brings logbooks and other documents to the Logistics Officer at the end of every month.   About you To be considered for Driver position, you must have Lebanese Driving license for at least 5 years.       Qualifications and Position Requirements Primary school level 2 years experience in a similar function Basic Knowledge of English Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment Basic mechanical skills Team spirit, flexibility & adaptability Ready to work under pressure     We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
