Wash Field Coordinator

The WASH Coordinator will: Assist in the development and management of all matters related to AVSI/UNICEF WASH program Carry out field visits and conduct monitoring of project activities (Hygiene Promotion Sessions and WASH rehabilitation of public schools) Assist Program Manager in the development and/or procurement of curriculum and supplies required for program activities To manage and supervise the WASH Officers in charge of the monitoring of the administrative aspects of the project (collection of the invoices, payments, reimbursement to the field staff…etc) Attend the WASH coordination meeting at local and national level To inform, keep contacts and and co-ordinate the health and hygiene and community participation activities with the other agencies and actors carrying out similar activities. Prepare monthly narrative reports in collaboration with the Project Manager and WASH specialist Represent the AVSI program at the field level by attending coordination meetings with UN agencies, national and international NGOs, local authorities Continually assess and adjust program design and interventions with Program Manager in order to address ongoing needs of the population Perform any other relevant duties as required     Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, water Management, Civil or Environmental Engineer Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in governance, preferably with some experience in the WASH Sector Excellent planning and organizational skills Demonstrated experience facilitating trainings and workshops on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene issues Computer skills and report writing experience Networking and team building skills will be required. Good knowledge of English and/or French language – spoken and written skills. Mother tongue Arabic speaker
