Csmc Monitor

Under the direct supervision of the CSMC Team Leader, the CSMC Monitors will be responsible for regular supporting committee formation in targeted collective sites, ensuring regular monitoring and follow up of targeted collective sites (including provision of, and access to, services for residents) and enhancing coordination of relevant stakeholders. The CSMC Monitors will undertake regular field visits to collective sites that they support and will routinely update site information in structured site profiles.  CSMC Monitors will also directly support implementation of trainings for community members residing in targeted collective sites, and will thoroughly investigate surrounding community capacities in order to creatively leverage opportunities for collective site residents to enjoy better access to services and other activities including vocational training.     Major Responsibilities:   Undertake field monitoring missions to collective sites and collect protection information about the site and its residents on a regular basis. Contribute to drafting and updating of regular reports and site profiles. Identify protection needs/risks affecting individuals, households and groups, and initiate referrals to appropriate service providers in collaboration with the Information Officer. Liaise with local authorities with the support of the CSMC Team Leader, on issues relevant to targeted collective sites. Support identification/formation of leadership structures in targeted collective sites by mapping existing structures and focal points, directly implementing and/or supporting participatory mechanisms for selection of new focal points, and ensuring that leadership structures meet minimum criteria for age, gender and diversity mainstreaming (to the extent possible). Maintain an up to date and in-depth understanding of community dynamics within the targeted collective sites, and of dynamics between collective site residents and the surrounding host community. Support development of TORs for collective site committees, under the guidance of the CSMC Team Leader. Provide input regarding collective site resident information needs and contribute to the development of informational and awareness-raising materials, including through collaboration and consultation with collective site residents.  Support enhanced coordination between service providers at targeted collective sites, in collaboration with the Information Officer and with input from site residents.  Support delivery of training sessions to collective site committee members. Undertake other tasks as requested by the CSMC Team Leader and the Protection and Information Manager. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  CSMC Team Leader Position directly supervises:  N/A Indirect Reporting: N/A Other Internal and/or external contacts: The CSMC Monitor will be expected to coordinate with the Information Officer and the Reporting Officer, in order to ensure coordination of service providers and referrals and accurate, comprehensive and up to date reporting Job Requirements: Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Experience with working with beneficiaries Strong protection experience, demonstrated ability in detecting and referring vulnerable cases Experience with an NGO and/or international organization Ability to interpret, analyze and synthesize information in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills, timeliness, ability to determine priorities and great attention to detai Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic; Proactive, flexible, team spirited and willing to learn; Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Working Environment: Standard office work environment, with frequent travel to the field
