Csmc Team Leader

Under the direct supervision of the Protection and Information Manager (Mount Lebanon), the CSMC Team Leader (PTL) will be responsible for supervising the CSMC Monitors carrying out committee formation and support, and coordination and standardization of service provision, in targeted collective sites. The CSMC Team Leader will manage the field visits of the CSMC Monitors and provide a high level of support collaboration for trainings and other events in which the monitors will assist.  In addition, the CSMC Team Leader will collaboratively input into the work planning of the Community Engagement Officer to support effective coordination.  She/he will also provide ongoing technical support to protection monitors in coordination with the PIM, to ensure that activities promoting community leadership and building community protection capacity are carried out safely and meet quality standards. The CSMC Team Leader will also work with the reporting officer and the PIM to ensure that data collection is comprehensive, accurate and of high quality.  Major Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision and support to the CSMC Monitors, including: Support to scheduling of, and participation in, monitoring field missions; Regular review of data collected by the teams, and reporting systems; Development of individual work plans, ensuring best practice standards are met as well as the development of professional development plans for staff; Regular review and follow up of case referrals and other associated action points for monitoring; and, Support mobile teams’ field access by meeting with relevant stakeholders and local authorities as required. Identify key leadership structures in all targeted camps/formal tented settlements/collective centers' and maintain close relationship with them to ensure adequate understanding of community dynamics. In close collaboration with the leadership structures develop TORs and Code of Conduct for CCCM Administrator and Management Committees. Identify beneficiary information needs and provide guidance to staff in developing information and awareness-raising materials and activities, with beneficiary participation. Establish a coordination system for all humanitarian actors present in the target areas, with participation from beneficiaries. In collaboration with the PMID Manager, conduct ToTs for IRC staff and provide support in delivering training sessions to beneficiaries. Support the Protection Manager in the development of advocacy positions to be shared with the Protection Working Group. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other INGO, UNHCR, government authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure active coordination, collaboration, and information dissemination. Undertake other tasks as requested by the Protection and Information Manager. Job Requirements: Work Experience: At least three years of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international organization and preferably with experience managing staff; Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Excellent protection background and knowledge of refugee context; Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail; Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines; Fluency in Microsoft office, experience in document design and layout; Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment Demonstrated ability in detecting and referring vulnerable cases Previous experience working in/managing collective sites Language Skills: Excellent English language skills, oral and written, and the ability to translate from Arabic to English; Certificates or Licenses: N/A Working Environment: Standard office work environment, with regular travel to the field
