Trainer For Adapted Education

IECD is looking for an expert in charge of creating and developing 8 five-day Training of Trainers to be given to teachers in vocational training schools and educators of protected workshops. The consultancy contract will be over a 7 months period. Who we are L'Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD), founded in 1989, is a French non-profit organizationwhichactstowards the socio-economicdevelopment of 16 countries. Since 2006, it collaborates with the Foyer de la Providence based in Salhiyeh, on different projects aiming to improve the socio-professional inclusion of youth and the access of disadvantaged populations to education. Background of the project The fragility of the Lebanese labor market and its high unemployment rate has led to the launch of the BRIDGES (Bridging Reinforced Integration through Development of Guidance, Employment and Skills) Project. Its aim is to increase the employability of young people in Lebanon, specifically those most vulnerable. This will be done by developing their hard skills, soft skills and improving their access to industry information through orientation and employment fairs. The Foyer de la Providence and its two entities: Mosaik, a specialized school and Trait d'Union, a resource center will be implicated. Project The BRIDGES project is split on two axes, the once of concern to the ToT Trainer is the one leading to the creation or adaptation of vocational training and protected workshop. Both will be created in the objective of providing employment opportunities to populations at risk – those with learning difficulties or marginalized by society. Five vocational trainings will be adapted or created from scratch to provide an opportunity for youth to develop their technical skills in an environment adapted to their specific needs. Three protected workshops will focus on providing on the job training to persons whose difficulties prevent them fromenrolling in VT or marginalized adults. In order to ensure these trainings and workshops will be implement in the best way, a ToT will be given to teachers and administration of facilities in the vocational training centers and in those hosting the productive workshops. Tasks/Deliverables The consultant will be in charge of creating and delivering the content of the ToT which will be based on the adapted curriculums he/she will be provided with by our French Education Experts, INS HEA -          5 five day ToT will be organized targeting trainers and administration of the facilities implementing the 5 vocational training programs. The training will focus on the contents developed (curricula), the pedagogical approach when dealing with youth with special needs. -          3 five days ToT will be organized targeting trainers and administration of the facilities hosting the three productive workshops. The training will focus on the contents developed (curricula), the pedagogical approach when dealing with youth with special needs. -          The delivery of the 8 five-day ToT -          On average, these ToTs will last 5 days, however the duration might vary from one to another
