Hygiene Behavior Change Coordinator

PURPOSE OF POSITION:  To coordinate and support the operationalisation, implementation and monitoring of the Hygiene promotion intervention to improve the public health of the affected population MAJOR TASKS Supervise a team of Hygiene Promoters. Develop and continually update Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) for the delivery of hygiene-related interventions within WASH projects. Facilitating and communicating hygiene behavior change communication to encourage health-promoting behaviors. Ensure the formation and support of health and hygiene groups and communities (e.g. WASH Committees) in the ITS Develop technical resources to guide World Vision,s Hygiene Behavior Change programming Ensure that all hygiene-related data (e.g. baseline assessments, activity monitoring) is well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground. Submit regular reports related to WV’s hygiene-related intervention Identify asses and report public health related risks  Knowledge and Skills Good understanding of World Vision and Sphere relief standards. Good management and administrative skills. Diplomacy, tact, and negotiating skills Training/counterpart development skills Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills Must have cross-cultural sensitivity, problem solving and negotiation skills. Good team building skills, Acquire a creative, innovative, and adaptability      personality. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural and difficult /      sensitive contexts. Familiarity with the culture of the affected population, ability to develop respect from a wide range of people and strong ability to communicate effectively on hygiene matters EXPERIENCE 3 years relevant experience in local community and within an NGO context. Experience in research and relief project implementation.
