CONTEXT  L'Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French development organization operating in the field of international solidarity. It has been present in Lebanon since 1989. Today, IECD and its local partners implement several programme for professional integration support, access to education, support to small enterprises and health care projects.  Over the last ten years, IECD in partnership with Foyer de la Providence have developed the specialized school Mosaik and its Center of Resources and Orientation Trait d'Union. Together they are working to allow students with learning disabilities to receive an adapted education and to train the teachers of “regular” schools to inclusion methods.  To extend the benefits of those activities, IECD and the Foyer de la Providence are launching a three year capacity building program towards 15 institutions welcoming Palestinians youth. The main objective is to increase adoption of an inclusive approach in the formal and non-formal education sector in order to decrease dropout rates and allow children with learning disabilities to enroll in “regular” classes. In parallel, this project aims to raise awareness on inclusion among health services, educators and families together with the creation of a referral system to improve the provision of diagnosis and care for CwD.
