Livelihood Support Officer

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Livelihood Support officer’s main responsibilities are:   Remote monitoring of the basic needs/livelihood component data   Ensure that partners comply with the basic needs procedure; Ensure that partners deliver on time the data required in the new procedure and that the data are presented in the correct forms; Ensure the written translation from Arabic to English of all the documents received from partners; Provide analysis of the monthly data to the Livelihood Technical Advisor and Programs Coordinator; Participate in basic needs/livelihood proposal design; Contribute to the development and implementation of trainings for partners;       Provision of technical support   Contribute to develop needs assessment, situation analysis and impact evaluation tools; Provide on-time feedback & support to the basic needs/livelihood issues faced and refer them to the program coordinator and livelihood technical advisor. In case of breach of the basic needs component procedure, report to Livelihood Technical Advisor  and to the Program Coordinator and develop recommendation to adjust the issue; Assess the difficulties and needs for a proper implementation of basic needs/livelihood component and identify specific training needs and transfer to Livelihood Technical Advisor and Program coordinator;     Monitoring of the quality of basic needs/livelihood activities   Ensure weekly discussions and obtain information about any issue faced by partners field team in the implementation of the activities. Report on these issues to the Livelihood Technical Advisor and suggest potential improvements   Reporting and liaison   Perform weekly Skype meetings with partners Draft minutes of each meeting and send to Livelihood Technical Advisor and Program Coordinator Report of some case studies discussed with the partners’ basic needs field staff. Collect information linked to livelihood conditions of beneficiaries.     Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

1. Professional competencies required

 Experience in Food security / livelihood programs / Cash transfer programs
 Experience in NGO is mandatory
 High degree diploma
 Sound knowledge of project cycle management and tools
