PREMIERE URGENCE   AIDE MEDICALE INTERNATIONALE -         LEBANON    -       Community Outreach Senior Field Officer   Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity.   Today, PU-AMI intervenes in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.   PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and Livelihood Recovery sectors.                                 POSITION GENERAL INFORMATION   Position: Senior Field Officer Component: Community Outreach Based in: Halba, Akkar   Supervision   Under the direct supervision of:        Community Outreach Team Leader Under the indirect supervision of:    Community Outreach Project Manager Supervision of  :  Field Officers, Focal Points and Community Leaders Under the overall supervision of:      Field Coordinator     OVERALL MISSION   General objective   Under the direct supervision of the Community Outreach Team Leader, the Senior Field Officer is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the activities, especially for the objectives linked to protection, community mobilization, individual case referral and awareness sessions. He/she directly implements the  activities (build trustful relation with the community, refer individual case and follow up on them, community mobilization, awareness session, gather information about all other actors intervene in the site…) with the help of beneficiaries, local partners or volunteers.     Responsibilities and tasks   Activities implementation -          Organize, plan and implement, with the Community Outreach Officers, all activities in a timely manner, including awareness raising, information sessions, community mobilization, etc. -          Respect the design (activity chart) and required methodology of the project -          Respect the principles of humanitarian protection and confidentiality -          Provide technical guidance and follow-up to Focal Points, partners, community members and volunteers   Monitoring & Guidance -          Monitor the Field Officers’ work on a daily basis and provide them with guidance -          Ensure that Community Outreach Officers know, understand and follow the best psychosocial activity practices and standards -          Ensure that all Outreach Field Officers and partners know and understand the referral pathway -          Participate in individual debrief meetings on a weekly basis with the TL and the PM   Communication & Follow-up -        To be present on the different sites and respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information -        To refer special cases which need individual attention and follow their progress with the different stakeholders -        Promote successful and strong relationship with other NGOs, community leaders, Municipalities, etc. in order to properly support service provision and program activities -        Ensure coordination with local partners -        Attend training sessions and assist in organizing trainings as required   Reporting -       Report orally on the progress of Community Outreach activities on a daily and weekly basis to the Supervisor -       Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the Community Outreach Manager   The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project needs.     QUALIFICATIONS     Mandatory requirements    Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and very good in English (reading/writing/ speaking) Education degree: On-site training in protection, psychology or social sciences Work experience: minimum 1 year experience in a similar position (NGOs and/or private companies) in protection, social or educational fields Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office pack Other: -          Valid driving license (2 years minimum) and willingness to drive PU-AMI cars -          Good knowledge in protection, community mobilization, social works -          Good knowledge of North Governorate, willing to travel a lot locally -          Good communication skills with beneficiaries -          Effective stress management -          Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines -          Good problem solving skills
